Vitalize: Your Embodyment Practise

We begin our journey towards health, wholeness and happiness with the body because the body grounds our experience of life, and if the body is not running in good, functional order, it is challenging to think or feel clearly, relate with others harmoniously, much less execute our aspirations, goals and ideals in ease, or realize our optimum human potential with joy.  Care for our body comes first.

This portion of our program introduces the powers of breath, mindful movement, and rest, and how the gentle exercise and practice of yoga optimizes vitality, assisting in the experience and enjoyment of our ideal mind and body health states that inspire harmony and the power needed to realize our goals and aspirations, in ease.


VITALIZE introduces the science behind the practise while the student is guided through actual exercises, allowing him / her to experience the activation of his / her vitality and well-being, honoring the brain, nerves and body, across the series.

Each session begins with mindful movement married to the breath, and closes with a relaxation, affirmation meditation sequence that unifies the student with Life and its Nature, so the student may remember and experience unity and love as the original states of his / her own being, assisting in the release of energies that no longer serve, and reinforce those mindsets and ways of feeling and being that do.

The word, "Yoga," is Sanskrit for, "to yolk," or, "to bind." Through the postures and our practise, we essentially aspire to come to a better understanding of and relationship with ourselves - the foundation of all our experience in life!  The body being a gateway to deeper levels of enjoyment of our being.

Coordination, mindful awareness, and increased sensitivity to, connection with and management of our mental, emotional and physical states are inspired.  Salient benefits of this series (varying as per students' personal health states) are enhanced vitality, agility, stamina, strength, endurance, immunity, virility, feelings of safety and self-esteem, clarity, relaxation, balance, and a sculpted, toned physique assisting in the shedding of unwanted inches and weight to unravel and reveal our original and intended beauty blueprint.

VITALIZE is friendly for all ages and fitness levels and the sessions may be tailored around the students’ unique interests and needs.

This series may be taken on its own, independent of the other programs in our 12-step approach, for those simply looking to synchronize their mind and body love resonance and enhance their vitality.

N.B. Because each person has a unique blueprint, health state, medical history and propensity (relative to his / her gender, current age, fitness level, and occupation), that may affect his / her experience and enjoyment of this series, it is essential and will be required that the student has the permission, medical clearance and guidance of his / her family physician prior to  beginning of and throughout his / her engagement of this series.  The experience of an 18-year old student will be unique compared to the experience of a 45-year old business professional, for example, simply because their health states and energy requirements are different, and so needs to be considered carefully in the engagement of the series.  Although the principles presented are universal, application will be grounded, personal and unique around each individual's current age, health condition and requirements, for safety and best results.  Holding hands with your family physician or health care expert prior to and throughout the duration of your practise will be key, for your successful engagement.

SESSION 1 – CONNECT

30 to 45mins. exercise of mindful movements with the breath

15mins. relaxation, affirmation and meditation

 

  • We begin our exploration of mind and body through mindful movement and the breath, expanding to a greater awareness and appreciation of our being. 

  • Regardless of your fitness level or experience of yoga, our approach will be slow and intentional, increasing intentionality, avoiding injury.

  • The result is an increased appreciation and love for our being, an awareness of our mind-body coordination, enhanced energy, vitality, immunity, and greater states of clarity, love, and peace.

SESSION 2 – STRENGTHEN

30 to 45mins. exercise of mindful movements with the breath

15mins. relaxation, affirmation and meditation

 

  • We continue our mind and body alignment and exploration through the exercise, introducing postures that invite strength and power, in ease and grace.

  • Regardless of your fitness level or experience of yoga, our approach will be slow and intentional, increasing intentionality, mind and body harmony, avoiding injury.

  • The result is increased strength and vitality, clarity, confidence, enhanced self-esteem, appreciation and love for our being, enhanced energy, vitality, immunity, balance and peace. 

SESSION 3 – MIND

30 to 45mins. exercise of mindful movements with the breath

15mins. relaxation, affirmation and meditation

 

  • We become more aware of our mind as it affects our body, and how our body mirrors the state of our mind.

  • Regardless of your fitness level or experience of yoga, our approach will be slow and intentional, thereby increasing intentionality and the dialogue between mind and body, enhancing mindfulness states.

  • The result is an increased appreciation and love for our being, feeling the blessing throughout our mind and body from the top of our head all the way down to our toes, bringing relaxation, balance and peace. as we get strong.

SESSION 4 – FLOW

30 to 45mins. exercise of mindful movements with the breath

15mins. relaxation, affirmation and meditation

 

  • We start to enjoy moving and breathing, as they allow us to experience and express our being, expanding through each posture with intention and zest.

  • Regardless of your fitness level or experience of yoga, our approach will be slow and intentional, thereby increasing  mind and body synchronicity, enthusiasm for ourselves and our practise, avoiding injury.

  • The result is an increased appreciation and love for our being,  bringing increased states of joy, love, enthusiasm, clarity, energy, balance, grace, and peace.

What you will need for your practise...

  • Dedicated 60 minutes a week for your exercise taken live with me via Zoom (1 session per-week) x 4 weeks, set on your best day and hour of the week. For proper training and sacred honoring, it is best to set the sessions the same time and day per week. 

  • Your sacred space so you may take the sessions undisturbed, with your yoga mat, towel and water.

  • Your own Zoom from your phone or laptop.

  • Medical clearance, permission and guidance from your family physician or health care expert, prior to beginning and throughout the duration of your practise, for safety and best results.
